Screening at Prinzessinnengarten: Kismet-How turkish soaps change the world

PARKAFILM likes to produce its own films but we love to promote other filmmakers as well.

On July 24th, 2017 we show the wonderful film “Kismet – How turkish soaps change the world” in an Open-Air Screening @ Laube in den Prinzessinnengärten.
Turkish soap operas are incredibly popular – and not just in Turkey. Throughout the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans and Asia, millions of viewers are glued to every episode of series such as ‘Noor’, ‘Fatmayal’, ‘Suleiman’ and ‘Life goes on’. Kismet seeks out the secrets behind these soaps, that of break taboos. This documentary tells the personal stories of women who follow in the footsteps of their heroines to fight for their rights.
